Please bring your list of current medications, any brain or spine MRI or CT Scan imaging available, an ID card, your insurance card, your physician referral’s request if available. If you are a new patient, please fill and bring the New Patients’ forms available in this website. If unable to print the forms before the appointment day, please arrive 30 minutes earlier to your appointment time.

What is a Nerve Conduction (NCS)/ Electromyography (EMG) study?
A NCS/EMG study is a diagnostic study that helps to identify and nerve lesions, where the lesion is located at and its severity. Also it identifies muscle abnormalities which could be secondary to a nerve lesion or to a muscle disease.

What is Deep Brain Stimulation?
Deep Bran Stimulation (DBS) is a FDA approved surgical treatment option for the management of several movement disorders including Parkinson’s disease, essential tremor, dystonia. It uses an implanted electrode to deliver electrical stimulation to different areas in the brain involved in the control of movement. This helps reducing movement disorders symptoms.

What is Botulinum Toxin Therapy?
Botulinum toxin is a purified protein that works by blocking overactive nerve impulses that cause excessive muscle contractions or glandular activity. It helps reducing the symptoms of dystonia, blepharospasm (involuntary eye closure), axillary hyperhidrosis (excessive underarm sweating), migraine headaches among many others. The effect is temporary and lasts from approximately three to six months, depending on the individual patient.
